Can I manually set the server address for an individual agent/endpoint?

QUESTION

Can I manually set the server address for an individual agent/endpoint?

ANSWER

Each managed endpoint connects to the Kaseya server by the server’s IP address.  When an agent is deployed to an endpoint, the agent contains the Kaseya server’s address.  Generally agents should be updated via the server or redirected via DNS.  For detailed instructions on these methods, please refer to the Agent Configuration and Deployment Guide

In some instances, it may be necessary to manually set the Kaseya server’s IP address for a single endpoint.

  1. On the managed machine (endpoint), right click on the Kaseya agent icon in the system tray
  2. Select Set Account… from the menu
  3. The Set Agent Account Information window will be displayed.  Set the Server Address field to the appropriate IP address
  4. Click OK to save the settings

MORE INFORMATION

Setting the IP address using this method affects only the single endpoint.  These steps must be repeated for each endpoint requiring manual configuration of the server IP.
