KLC throws session ended error if FortiClient is installed on the viewer machine

Problem:

If FortiClient is installed on the viewer machine, KLC connections from this machine would say connecting for some time and it eventually errors out saying "Session Ended"

 

 

 

If you keep the Session Ended window unclosed and try to open another Live Connect session it gets connected.

 

Cause:

There are several reasons that KLC throws this error. However, this KB is specific to the error caused by FortiClient. KLC has some compatibility issues with Forticlient, so if FortiClient is installed on the machine and is outdated, it shows this behavior.

 

Resolution:

Update Forticlient to the latest version or uninstall it.
