Cannot add a device via text message

QUESTION

I am encountering difficulties adding a device via text message. Am I missing something here?

ANSWER

Ensure that the SMS text messaging features on the phone are activated and properly receive text messages.

 

From here, there are particular cases encountered in which adding text messages are delayed and/or not sent. If this looks to be the case for you, raise a support request here noting the following:

- Device Hardware & OS type (ie.:  iPhone 4 w/ iOS 4.3.5, Droid Bionic w/ Android v3.2 Honeycomb, etc...)

- Device Carrier (ie.: AT&T, Verizon, O2, etc...)

- Phone number the text message is to send to
