Video Transcript:
To protect users in bulk, we'll be using the seat management UI and uploading a CSV. First, you want to go to the main status page, select seat management, and then users. From there, we'll go to the ellipsis menu next to the protect all button and select import CSV. In this case, we'll be protecting users with a CSV.
We want to make sure that our CSV is properly formatted. So proper formatting for this is just a list of user emails with no headers. We'll select CSV file here and upload our CSV. Then select import CSV file.
Here we see the confirmation that the CSV upload is being processed. Typically, this process will take a few minutes as it's going through and protecting user seats, as well as creating backup service for those user seats. After a few minutes, when we refresh the page, we can see now that all of the users that we included in the CSV are now protected. They're all set to the active status here.
Alternatively, you can also use a similarly formatted CSV to unprotect users by just selecting the unprotect button here. Worth noting that unprotecting users using the CSV does also require an extra confirmation. We'll need to confirm in this dialogue here unprotect my data to then be able to unprotect the users.
