No, the admin user in your Google Workspace Domain does not need to have a Spanning Backup license assigned to access the Spanning application. Any Google Super Admin or Spanning Super Admin user can log into the Spanning application, update settings, initiate cross-user restores, or perform other admin duties without a Spanning Backup license assigned.
