How to Create Contacts in ConnectBooster (PSA-Independent Portals)
Use these steps if your ConnectBooster portal is not connected to a PSA and contacts are managed directly in ConnectBooster.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to ConnectBooster.
Navigate to the company where you want to add a contact.
Click the arrow icon next to Organization Details to open the contacts page.
Scroll down and click Add Contact.
Enter the contact’s first name and last name.
Enter the contact’s email address.
Select the appropriate profile for the contact.
Click Save.
Adding a Contact to Multiple Companies (Optional)
Open the existing contact you want to share across companies.
Click Add Related Company.
Select the additional company or companies and save.
Important Notes
You cannot create a duplicate contact using the same email address under different companies.
If a contact needs access to multiple companies, use Add Related Company instead of creating a new contact.
Video Transcript: In this video, we will show you how to create contacts if your portal is PSA independent, meaning that you do not have a PSA such as Auto Task or ConnectWise. Instead, you'll be adding contacts into ConnectBooster directly. To do so, navigate to the company you wish to add the contacts to and click the arrow pointing to the right next to where it says organization details in order to get the contacts page.
Next, scroll down and click the add contact button. Fill out the name fields and the email address.
Lastly, set the profile and save.
If you want to have the same contact access multiple companies, you can do this by adding related companies to the already existing contact by clicking the add related company button. If you try to create a new contact using the email address of an already existing contact under a different company, you will get an error.
