How To Enable Remote Errors in Microsoft Reporting Services

Question:

A report fails with a generic error asking to enable remote errors for more information

Exception: An error has occurred during report processing. ---> System.Exception: For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

Answer:

Remote Errors are not enabled in Microsoft Reporting Services. You will need to enable remote errors to get a more specific error that the report is failing with

1) Please follow the KB Article that Microsoft has provided to enable remote errors:

2) Run the report again to get a more specific error. If you are unsure of what the error means, please open up a support ticket at helpdesk.kaseya.com and provide the new error in the ticket
