Question
I recently purchased Kaseya Antivirus / Kaseya Antimalware / Kaseya Endpoint Security licenses, but they have disappeared from the Full Available License pool - where have they gone?
Answer
Your licenses have most likely been assigned to machines with an expired license.
- Auto-extend of KAV and KAM licenses is hard-coded from Kaseya v6.5 and higher - therefore machines with an expired license will automatically grab a new license as soon as they become available.
- Auto-extend of KES licenses is specified via the 'Security > Extend/Return' page. Expired machines with this enabled will grab a license as soon as they become available.
You can establish which machines grabbed a license by running a simple report.
In Info Center, there is an "Active Licenses List" report part for KAV, KAM, and KES. This report shows you an "Applied On" date, and "Days Remaining" on the license. Create the report to have the following :-
1) An advanced filter of "Days Remaining greater than 300" (choose number of days less than 1 year (365) - in other words a license was applied recently).
2) Order by "Applied On" date - descending.
This returns the list of machines which have had a license applied most recently. From this you can compare the license purchase date with the "Applied On" date of each machine, and establish which machines grabbed a license.
