QUESTION
Why do some of the patches in Machine History show an unknown install date?
ANSWER
When Kaseya installs a patch on an endpoint, the date and time of the installation is known to the system. This information is recorded on the Machine History page. Patches that are installed through other means may not update the necessary registry files for Kaseya to read the installation date. Patches that are detected on the machine will be listed within the Machine History page with an install timestamp of “Unknown” when the timestamp cannot be determined from the information available on the local machine and when Kaseya was not involved in the installation of the patch.
