Settings available after next patch scan

I’ve added a new endpoint to my VSA.  Why does the Windows Auto Update page say, “Settings available after next patch scan” for this endpoint?



Kaseya leverages Microsoft’s Windows Update Agent (WUA) for patch scans and patch installations.  WUA is closely tied to the locally-installed Windows program Automatic Update.  Kaseya must know  the configuration of Windows Automatic Update before it can change the setting.


During the initial patch scan of the endpoint, the Automatic Update settings are determined and the current configuration is relayed to Kaseya.  Once the scan completes and the information is parsed, you will be able to set the Windows Auto Update setting to your desired configuration.
