Why do the changes made in the Remote Cntl module > Set Parameters page not take affect in VNC sessions?

- View Only Mode
- Hide WinVNC system tray icon on the remote machine
- Restrict to 64 colors
- Full Screen Mode

ANSWER

 

The VNC viewer on the admin side is passed the view only settings switch when it gets launched. If you already have the VNC viewer open when you switch the setting then it will not apply until the viewer is loaded again.

Right click on the VNC Viewer icon on the admin machine and close it - the setting will apply the next time you start a VNC session.
