How to see which SSL version and which cyphers are available

Problem:

You wish to check which SSL versions and ciphers are available via Kaseya Edge Service. 

Due to many different configuration options available in the OS, IIS, and Kaseya Edge Service itself, and also any security devices, the only way to be sure which cyphers are being used is to query the server in real-time.

 

Solution:

1. Download nmap from https://nmap.org/download.html

2. Install nmap with the default settings

3. Open an Admin Command Prompt

4. Run the following command
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap\nmap.exe" --script ssl-enum-ciphers -p 443 <your_server_address>

For example, if your server is vsa.acmecorp.com, run this commmand

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap\nmap.exe" --script ssl-enum-ciphers -p 443 vsa.acmecorp.com

 

You will get results such as this
