SUMMARY
Unitrends archive units / RXDAs fans are running at max speed and are very loud.
ISSUE
Fans in the Unitrends archive units/ RXDA are running at max speed without any drives inside and are very loud.
RESOLUTION
This chassis does not include fan control and runs the fans at full speed at all times. This systems internally has only a passthru function for the eSATA bays as well as a power controller. There is no internal mainboard or power management or fan management system. This chassis is intended to be deployed in an environmentally controller server room or sound closet and may not be suitable for deployment in open office areas.
