SUMMARY

Cold backup copy imports from tape targets may fail with input/output errors.

ISSUE

Cold backup copy imports from tape targets may fail with input/output errors. These errors occur after tape positioning and normal quiesce processing.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, upgrade your appliance to version 10.3 or later. Version 10.3 introduces a rewind_wait_time=<N number of seconds> general configuration (master.ini) variable that can be adjusted in order to troubleshoot this issue.
