External storage drives may appear to have the same serial number

SUMMARY

ISSUE

Users who are rotating multiple external drives for backup copy storage may encounter an issue where these drives appear to all have the same serial number.

RESOLUTION

To correct this issue, upgrade your appliance to version 9.2.0.
