The .zip file-level recovery procedure for Linux assets may produce invalid files.

ISSUE

The .zip file level recovery procedure for Linux assets may produce invalid files if both of the following conditions are present:

  1. The attempted download contains at least one, but is not entirely comprised of directories containing symbolic links.
  2. File extraction from .zip file is attempted via the WinZip utility.
 

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use a utility other than WinZip (e.g. 7z or WinRAR) for file extraction.
