BareMetal drivers for Broadcom NetExteme II NIC
Applies To
Windows Bare Metal restore; Windows 2003 client
Symptoms / Description
When booting the Bare Metal boot media, the software is unable to set the IP address.
Cause
The WinPE environment is unable to find the correct driver for Broadcom NetXtreme II NIC.
Resolution / Workaround / Execution Process
If you run into a Broadcom NetExteme II NIC, you will need to inject the Windows 2003 32 bit RIS drivers for the NIC to work with the BareMetal PE I media (created from Win 2k3). Look about ½ way down the page for the RIS drivers.

We were even able to get this driver to work with an IBM H chassis blade (HS22, model 7873-B3U).
