SelfService: Download facility temporarily unavailable.


SelfService file-level recovery has the following error message:

"Download facility temporarily unavailable.
Once available, your restored files can be retrieved from the URL https://src_appliance_ip/downloads/.
This could take up to an hour."

– IF the download size is greater than 500 MB, then the restore will not process through the UI.

Resolution:

In the UI > Configure > Edit > General Configuration > SelfService, MaxDownloadMB > Set value to the needed value.  Recommend this be incrementally raised.  500 is the default.  

If this does not allow the feature to work, please follow the instructions and retrieve your files from the share created via file explorer.
