Will IP restrictions in Salesforce cause issues with Spanning Backup?

In order to access the Spanning Backup for Salesforce application, within your Salesforce environment, and for Spanning Backup to be able to access your Salesforce data to back it up, there are some IP addresses that need to be accessible and open through your network/router firewall.  Furthermore, if you have IP restrictions in your Salesforce environment, there are some IP addresses that need to be whitelisted there as well.

There are two groups of IP addresses that will need to be accessible:

  1. IP addresses that need to be accessible and whitelisted in your Salesforce settings
  2. IP addresses that need to be accessible through your network/router firewall

*The datacenters mentioned below are in reference to where you installed Spanning Backup.
