Step-by-step: Add or remove default contacts
Open the Full Contacts section
Navigate to the company in the portal and open Full Contacts to see the default contact list.
Identify the source of each contact
Look for logos/icons beside each contact:
ConnectWise contacts: no X in Contact Details and use the PSA logo.
ConnectBooster manually-starred contacts: show a Cube icon.
Accounting-sourced contacts: display the accounting system’s logo (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop).
Where ConnectWise default contacts come from
The portal pulls default contact(s) from ConnectWise Company → Finance → Invoice Delivery Options.
The Primary bill-to email populates the To field.
Invoice Delivery Options also include a CC field — additional emails placed there become additional recipients.
How manually-added (ConnectBooster) default contacts are created
In ConnectBooster, go to Contacts, click the star on a contact to mark it as a default.
After starring a contact, refresh the portal page — the starred contact will now appear in the default list and display the Cube icon.
How to remove a manually-added default contact
Option A: In the portal under Contacts Details → Organization Details, click the X next to the contact’s name to remove it.
Option B: In ConnectBooster, un-star the contact in Contacts; then refresh the portal.
Either action will update the default list.
How to remove a ConnectWise default contact
Open ConnectWise → Company → Finance → Invoice Delivery Options for that company.
Remove the contact from the To or CC fields (or delete the Invoice Delivery Option entry).
If the company has multiple ConnectWise entities, repeat removal inside the Invoice Delivery Options for each entity/company.
Syncing the change to the portal
Typically an automatic sync will remove the contact from the portal after it’s removed in ConnectWise.
If you want the portal to update immediately, return to the company’s Full Contacts page and click Resync Contacts — this triggers a live call and updates the list right away.
Verify the change
After removal and resync/automatic sync, confirm the contact no longer appears in Full Contacts.

In the Full Contacts section, you'll first see the default contacts. In this example, the portal is using ConnectWise and QuickBooks Desktop as its integrations. If the PSA has a default contact, we pull that contact. For ConnectWise specifically, we retrieve it from the Company Finance tab. The bill to information maps to a section in ConnectWise called Invoice Delivery Options. The primary bill to email populates the To field, and Invoice Delivery Options also includes a CC field. This allows you to add additional emails, meaning you can include multiple recipients. As seen here, we have three contacts coming directly from ConnectWise in this Cube section. Contacts that display this Cube icon were manually added in ConnectBooster. This means the user went into Contacts and selected the star to make them a default contact, to demonstrate. If I go into one of my test accounts, you'll see a star icon. When I enable it and refresh the page, that contact now appears in the default list. For manually added contacts, when you open the Contacts Details section under Organization Details, you'll notice an X next to their name. Contacts coming from ConnectWise do not have this X. You can remove a manual contact by clicking the X or by going back into Contacts and un starring it. Both will update the list accordingly. It's also important to note that default Contacts may come from the Accounting package. If a Contact originates from the Accounting system instead of ConnectWise, a different logo will appear here. As you can see, we currently have three Contacts that were pulled from ConnectWise. If you need to remove any of these contacts, you'll need to remove them directly from the Invoice Delivery Options section inside ConnectWise. For companies that have multiple ConnectWise entity ships, you'll also need to make sure that the contact is removed from the invoice delivery options for each of those companies within ConnectWise. Once the contact is removed there, it will no longer appear in this list. Typically, an automatic sync should remove it for you. However, since you may be updating this as you go, you can come back to this page once the contact has been removed and click the Resync Contacts button. This triggers a live call and updates the list immediately. That's how removing ConnectWise default contacts works.
