Agent Offline and other alerts are not generated

PROBLEM
You find that  various alerts including "Agent Offline" alerts are not generated

CAUSE
This is often caused by a background job called "Email Notify" hitting an error and failing to complete

WORKAROUND / SOLUTION
1. log in to the kaseya server desktop (windows)

2. load a browser and enter http://localhost/localauth/emailnotify.asp?pwe=fireEmailNotify (NB. this IS case sensitive)

If all is well, you will get a blank page. If there are any problems, you will see the error displayed.

Fixing the issue depends on the reason for the error, so please raise a support ticket via http://helpdesk.kaseya.com and let us know that you have read this article. Please include a screenshot of the error that you see.
