Planned VSA Infrastructure Update - May 6th, 2023

Kaseya is planning an infrastructure update on Saturday May 6th, 2023, from 9am-9pm GMT Summer Time (4am-4pm Eastern Daylight Time).

This will not affect access to your VSA instance, but some of our back-end systems will be temporarily offline during the maintenance window, and their public IP addresses will change. This article describes what to expect, with new IP addresses for on-premise VSA instances where outbound network connectivity is restricted.

 

VSA installer

  • Download servers will be unavailable during the maintenance window, meaning that installers cannot be downloaded for VSA installation or upgrades.
  • After the maintenance, the public IP address of the download server will change. On-premise customers who restrict outbound network connectivity from their VSA server should update their firewall to allow access to the following IP address:
    • 139.28.145.113

Software Deployment and Update (KSDU)

  • During the maintenance window, the back-end server hosting Ninite software packages will be temporarily offline. This means that:
    • deployments and updates of Ninite software packages using the KSDU module during the maintenance window may fail.
    • VSA will not receive new updates from the Ninite catalog during the maintenance window.
  • After the maintenance, the public IP addresses of the server hosting Ninite software packages will change. On-premise customers who restrict outbound network connectivity from their VSA server should update their firewall to allow access to the following IP addresses:
    • 139.28.145.111
    • 139.28.145.112

License Updates

  • It will not be possible to update license entitlements for VSA or its add-ons during the maintenance window.
  • After the maintenance, the public IP address of our license service will change. On-premise customers who restrict outbound network connectivity from their VSA server should update their firewall to allow access to the following IP address:
    •  139.28.145.116
