While you can use Spanning's metadata restore feature to restore metadata back into Salesforce, you can also import it back into Salesforce using the Force.com IDE client application. To import metadata back into your Salesforce account from your backed up data, you will first need to export the desired metadata out of Spanning to your local hard drive. Once you have downloaded your desired metadata, use the Force.com IDE client application to import it back into your Salesforce account.
