How do I import metadata into Salesforce?

If you would like to restore metadata using Spanning Backup, follow the steps here:

How do I restore metadata into Salesforce using Spanning Backup?

While you can use Spanning's metadata restore feature to restore metadata back into Salesforce, you can also import it back into Salesforce using the Force.com IDE client application.  To import metadata back into your Salesforce account from your backed up data, you will first need to export the desired metadata out of Spanning to your local hard drive.  For detailed instructions on how to export data out of your Spanning account, see this article:

How do I export my backed up Salesforce data?

Once you have downloaded your desired metadata, use the Force.com IDE client application to import it back into your Salesforce account.
