In some situations for a subset of Wasabi customers, cloud cold copies (archives) using Wasabi storage have been found to fail intermittently.
With Unitrends release 10.7.9 and newer, updated S3 components have been introduced to combat the 503 service issue with Wasabi storage. Now Rclone is used with new buckets, which provides a much-improved engine over the prior s3ql engine.
NOTE: Rclone cannot be engaged with existing buckets. Prior buckets will continue to be used on S3QL only and gain no benefit from 10.7.9 upgrade. To eliminate wasabi errors customers must create and attach new buckets and copy new data. Older buckets cannot be converted to the new protocol but will continue to work as they have before.
