ISSUE
Is there a way of preventing Unitrends from showing servers (vmware or physical) we don’t want backed up showing as alerts and reports?
RESOLUTION
When you create a Job, there is an open (by default, it is checked) that allows you to include them in backup reports and failure reports. As this affects all Protected Assets in the Job, you may want to create a special Job for the systems that you do not want showing up in the reports.
JOBS > click Create Job button > select what you want to protect > click Next > in the "Define Job Settings" look for the OPTIONS section and uncheck the following:
- Include job results in the Job Report
- Include job failures in the Failure Report
