ISSUE

Snapshots hang when only one VHD is backed up
Snapshots are left behind when I exclude VHD

RESOLUTION

Change the Quiesce Settings from Crash Consistent to Application Consistent.

1. CONFIGURE > Protected Assets > select the VM and click EDIT
2. Change the Quiesce Settings from Crash Consistent to Application Consistent.

CAUSE

Xenserver can not process the backup exclusion request when the Quiesce Settings are set to Crash Consistent backups.
