iSeries Backup Menu

 

 

Customers may wish to access the iSeries Menu (or other console configuration screens) from command line without accessing the physical device console.   Some older units also used an xOrg interface for this option which was removed after Unitrends release 6.3. 

 

 

 

The iSeries menu may be accessed by connecting to the DPU via SSH, with Putty

or any other SSH v2 compatible SSH client, and issuing the following command:

 

/usr/bp/bin/dpuconfig

     Note For DPU 2000/3000 systems only: use these commands instead:
    TERM=xterm
    /usr/bp/bin/dpuconfig

 

Within this menu, select option 4 ( Advanced Options ), then Option 2 ( IBM

iSeries Backup and Recovery ).
