How to run a single on-demand job

SUMMARY

Creating backup jobs - on demand

ISSUE

Creating backup jobs

Use these procedures to manually create backup jobs.

These procedures assume that you have added to the appliance each asset you wish to protect. For details on adding assets, see these topics: Managing protected assets and Protecting SQL clusters and availability groups (provides instructions for adding assets to protect clustered SQL environments).

Unitrends also recommends that you review the following information to develop the best protection strategy for your environment: Preparing for backups and About creating backup and backup copy jobs.

RESOLUTION

to run an on-demand full you would simply navigate to Jobs and click Create Job > Backup From the pull-down menu

You would select the type of backup it is (most likely Asset) and then select the server from the list just as you would when creating a new job. Pay special attention to match any existing include/exclusion lists already in use in the regular schedule

The only difference is that on page 2 where choosing when to run this job you select Now and choose the backup mode (normally Full)
