[Animated Tutorial] How to Change VM Quiesce Settings

SUMMARY

Steps to change VM settings to Crash Consistent, Application Consistent, or Application Aware for VMs which have specific quiescing needs

ISSUE

Follow this guide to fine-tune a VM's quiesce settings.  For example, configure an Exchange VM as "Application Aware" to truncates its logs during VMware full and incremental backups.

1. Navigate to Configure > Protected Assets

2. Expand your virtual host to see the list of VMs

3. Select a VM which needs to have the quiesce settings changed and click Edit

4. Select the appropriate quiesce setting and click Save
