Performing a hot BareMetal backup of an entire disk on a Windows client

ISSUE

Purpose

This article addresses how to configure the Unitrends agent for Windows to protect all volumes on the same disk rather than only the root (C:) volume during a hot  BareMetal backup.

Description

When we backup using the Image based Baremetal we backup the root partition (which is usually c: and the Partition Table).  If you want to back up more then the first partition on a local disk, you will need to modify the master.ini configuration file.

Cause

We only look at the root partition and Partition File Table for Baremetal Backups.

Execution Process

1. First we need to modify the master.ini go to (normally c:) c:\PCBP\master.ini on the agent. 
2. In the BProfessional section add the line Autoconfigureincludes=false..
