This article applies to VMware 6.5.

AppAware backups failed to create a snapshot for VMware 6.5 virtual machine.

Upgrade the Unitrends system to version 9.1 or higher for VMware 6.5 support.

Unitrends system versions 9.0 and prior do not include the VDDK calls required for vSphere 6.5.
