Inventory sync failing stating Hyper-V VSS not enabled on Hyper-V host

WBPS logs show <Error> Unable to find Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer. Verify that Hyper-V services are running on the client server.

RESOLUTION

Found Hyper-V writers not showing on run of vssadmin list writers

To restart the service from Hyper-V Manager
Open Hyper-V Manager. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Hyper-V Manager.

In the navigation pane, click the name of the server if it's not already selected.

In the Actions pane, click Start Service.
