When restoring your backed up Gmail data into your active Google account, the selected emails are restored in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent emails are restored and accessible in your inbox first.
If you experience full data loss and are restoring your entire Gmail account, this workflow will be helpful, as your most current emails will be restored first, allowing you to return to fully operational status quickly.
