Replication Activity email report

SUMMARY

Describes the Replication Activity email report.

ISSUE

Purpose

Describe the Replication Activity email report. For more on reports, see Reports, Alerts and Monitoring in the Recovery-Series and UEB Administrator's Guide.

Description

The Replication Activity report that is sent by email closely resembles the replication dashboard. It contains information about replication activity from the previous 24 hours. It is sent by email once a day, as configured in Replication->Replication Attributes->Reports, but it can also be accessed in Reports->Replication. This report does not contain any vaulting activity.

It contains three sections - Completed Replications, Active Replications and Queued Replications.

Completed Replications

The Completed Replications section displays information about individual replications that have finished in the last 24 hours. It also displays a summary of how many backups, files and MBs of data have been sent to the target.

Completed Replications Summary

Replication Sources

Lists all the replication sources and their summary for the last 24 hours

  • Backups

Number of backups that have been replicated

  • Files

Number of files that have been replicated

  • Data MBs

Size of the backups that have been replicated

7.0 release – Logical size of the backups. This is a sum of the full logical size of all the backups which does not account for how much data has been deduplicated. Not all of this data had to be sent to the target.

7.1 release – Physical size of the backups, which accounts for how much data has been deduplicated. This is the amount of data that had to be sent to the target.

Activity Totals

Summary across all the sources

Completed Individual Replications

Client->Target

The source and the target of this backup

Type

Backup type, i.e. Hyper-V Incremental

Completed

Time this backup finished replicating

Elapsed

Time it took for this backup to replicate

MBs

Size of the backup

7.0 release – Logical size of the backup. This is the full size of the backup that does not account for how much data has been deduplicated.

7.1 release – Physical size of the backup, which accounts for how much data has been deduplicated. This is the amount of data that had to be sent to the target.

Files

Number of files contained in this backup, if applicable.

Encrypted

Encryption status of this backup. Yes if encrypted, no if not encrypted.

Replication Message

In case of a replication failure, this displays the error message.

Active Replications

The Active Replications section gives you details about all the replications that were in progress at the time the report was created.

Active Replications Summary

Replication Sources

Lists all the replication sources and the summary for their active replications

  • Backups

Total number of backups that are actively replicating

  • Data MBs

Size of the backups that are actively replicating. This is a sum of the logical size of the backups.

Activity Totals

Summary across all the sources

Active Individual Replications

Client->Target

The source and the target of this backup

Type

Backup type, i.e. Hyper-V Incremental

Operation

Current phase of the replication that’s in progress.

Started

Time the current operation started

Elapsed

Time since the beginning of the current operation. This is not the overall time since the entire replication started.

MBs

Full logical size of the backup on the source. All the data will have to be processed but not all will necessarily have to be sent to the target.

Files

Number of files contained in this backup, if applicable.

Encrypted

Encryption status of this backup. Yes if encrypted, no if not encrypted.

Queued Replications

The Queued Replications section lists all the replications which are queued to be replicated. To keep the report concise, it will only list out details for the first 50 backups per source.  However, it tells you how many backups are queued in total in the summary.

Queued Replications Summary

Replication Sources

Lists all the replication sources and the summary for their queued replications

  • Backups

Total number of backups that are queued to replicate

  • Data MBs

Size of the backups that are queued to replicate. This number only accounts for the first 50 queued backups.
