SUMMARY

Steps to resolve issue where the backup copy could fail following a change in the appliance’s name.

ISSUE

If the customer performs backups, then archives, then changes the hostname, it causes the bp.archive_instances table to be incorrect for entries created with the old hostname. This causes subsequent archives to those archive_instances to fail.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade to version 9.1.0 or later of the Unitrends software.

CAUSE

A known bug in version 9.0.
