Alerts and Monitors: False Alert Received

  • Is the monitor policy configured correctly? Clarify their expectations and that the monitor is configured to alert based on those.
  • Did the device actually meet the alert criteria? (sometimes partners just assume the device wasn't in alert state, but it actually was) - Use agent browser to check remotely
  • Are there changes to the device name in the system log? It could be that the agent shares a device ID with another device, so perhaps the alert came from a different device with the same device ID
