- Does the device meet the device requirements?
- Is their .NET up to date?
- Are they using the latest installer or an old one?
- Watch C:\Program Files (x86)\CentraStage locally on the device when attempting to install? Does it populate and then clear some or all of the contents?

- If all else fails, you or they can try using the compatibility troubleshooter in Windows.
- Right-click on the installer and select "Troubleshoot Compatibility"
- Select "troubleshoot program" and select "this program worked in earlier versions of Windows."
- Click on one of the options (any) and then click next and "test the program"
- Watch the Centrastage folder and see if it worked; if not, click "no, try again using different settings" and repeat steps 3 and 4 for every available Windows version until it works.
- Oftentimes, this will bypass the framework issues they're encountering, and the program will install with no other known side-effects (folder will show all DLLs, etc., and the icon will show if configured)
