VSAX – Step-by-Step Guide to Renewing an SSL Certificate

Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions for VSAX customers to renew and apply an SSL certificate on a VSA 10 application server using IIS Manager.


Step 1: Update the SSL Certificate via IIS Manager

  1. Log in to the VSA 10 application server.
  2. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  3. Navigate to Server > Server Certificates.
  4. Import or create a valid SSL certificate if one is not already present.
  5. Confirm that the certificate is correctly installed and valid.
  6. Go to Sites > VSAX > Bindings.
  7. Edit the Port 443 binding.
  8. Select the new SSL certificate.
  9. Confirm that the correct certificate is associated with HTTPS on port 443.

Step 2: Restart the VSAX Site

  1. In IIS Manager, right-click the VSAX site.
  2. Select Restart.

Step 3: Verify the Certificate Application

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Navigate to: https://<your VSA 10 server URL>
  3. Verify that the new SSL certificate is displayed and trusted.
