BCDR: Backup Error Knowledgebase Search

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the agent in the Protect tab.

  2. Locate the failed backup job and capture the core error text (no timestamps/metadata).

  3. Paste only the core text into helpdesk.kaseya.com knowledge base (KB) search.

  4. Pick the most relevant article and follow its instructions.

  5. Test the backup and document results.

First, go to the agent in the protect tab. Locate the failed backup job and note the error headline. Copy only the core error text.

Ignore time stamps and repeated metadata. Then open the public knowledge base, paste the core error text into the search bar. Review the search results and identify the most relevant article. Follow the knowledge base guidance to resolve the issue.
