IT Glue Configurations: Features and Usage

Viewing expired IT Glue configurations is just the beginning.

Please note: You must have the IT Glue Enterprise plan to be able to establish this integration.

Your list of expired configurations appears in two places in myITprocess. The first is on the Home screen. Please note: Users must have Full access to the Strategic Roadmap in order to view those expired configurations on the home screen. See our article on Permissions for more information on custom permissions. Next is on the Strategic Roadmap.

Further description below:

The Home screen shows a total number of configurations among all of your clients whereas, accessing the Strategic Roadmap menu for a particular client will only show their specific list of expired configurations.

Clicking the widget on the home screen opens a panel displaying a list of all your clients to whom you've mapped the integration as well as their expired configurations.

Click either a client's name or the arrow to the right of their name to be taken to a list of all your configurations.

Configurations highlighted in red appear at the top of the table and have already expired. Any highlighted in orange/yellow will be expiring in the next 30 days and those that are not highlighted are outside of a 30-day window of expiring.

Clicking on a configuration will bring up details about it including the ability to view that item in IT Glue and create a strategic roadmap recommendation using the configurations as supporting documentation.

You can also select multiple configurations by clicking the check box to the right of its expiration date and tie those to a single recommendation.

Please note: Configurations where no check box appears already have a recommendation associate with them.

Navigate to a client's strategic roadmap and click the menu. You'll see a list of your expired IT Glue configurations. Click IT Glue configurations and from here you'll be able to create recommendations, citing those configurations as documentation as to why you want your client to move forward with your recommendation.
