Initiatives

This article shows how Initiatives operate within the Strategic Roadmap.

Initiatives serve as the highest level of organization in your Strategic Roadmap and act as an umbrella term under which multiple recommendations can be nested. Recommendations are quarterly assignments whereas initiatives can span many quarters or years. This organizational structure breaks down long-term strategic actions into quarterly objectives. While an initiative is not shared with other clients and assigned individually, it can be templated in order to be used for other clients. See our article on templates.

To begin, click the menu in the top right-hand corner of the page. If you do not have any initiatives created you will see the following:

Note: You can create a stand-alone initiative or begin by creating Initiative templates.

Clicking on an initiative will bring out the details pane. Details include the description, active future recommendations, and findings. Making changes to an initiative is easy. Click the three vertical dots and choose Edit Initiative. You can change the title, description, and display color. If you wish to no longer show an initiative, click the three vertical dots and choose Archive.
