Detection precision has been enhanced with the introduction of new metrics that reduce the likelihood of both false positives and false negatives. Potentially infected backups will now be flagged in the Backup History report.

Security Integrated Copy Data Management

Released in 10.0, the Data Copy Access job was introduced as a means to automate the provisioning of lab resources from backups for test/dev, compliance reporting, DR testing, and other copy data management use cases. Release 10.1 adds a new security test based on the popular open source malware scanning program ClamAV to test security outside of production against data residing in backups.

Secure Windows Unified Bare Metal Recovery

For enhanced security, this release adds authentication to the Unified Bare Metal Recovery feature (formerly known as Integrated Bare Metal Recovery).

Secure Samba FLR

Security for Microsoft Exchange file-level recovery has been enhanced with new access restrictions. For instructions on configuring these restrictions, see How to configure access restrictions for Microsoft Exchange file level recovery.
