Adding Amazon to the Authenticator

You can setup two-factor authentication for Amazon.com by using Passly Authtenticator two-step verification. Download the Passly Authenticator mobile app, install it and grant the application access to the camera so it can scan barcodes / QRCodes to add new applications such as Amazon.com, to the application.

Upon first activation of the Passly Authenticator, it will ask for authorization to access the camera. This is so it can use the camera to scan barcodes and Qrcodes from other applications that you wish to pair it with.

The steps for pairing Passly Authenticator with Amazon.com are shown below:

  1. Login to your Amazon.com account.
Browse to Your account Change Account Settings and select the Edit button beside Advanced Security Settings.

  2. Select the Get Started button, then Select the radio button beside Authenticator App to reveal a QR code to be scanned to add the site to the Authenticator.

  3. Once the app has been added, generate a new passcode, enter it into the window provided to verify the pairing is complete.

  4. Once the paring is completed, you will be asked to configure a backup option in case something happens such as a lost phone.
