How can I change or update the internal SAS or Admin URLs?

To communicate and authenticate between AuthAnvil websites and web services, there are several URLs configured through a special tool. By default, AuthAnvil uses either the computer’s hostname or the FQDN defined in the SSL certificate assigned to the website where AuthAnvil is installed for these URLs. If you need to change the hostname of the computer, or the name on the SSL certificate changes, you will need to update the web.config files to point to the new name.

To do this, navigate to C:\Program Files\Scorpion Software\AuthAnvil\AuthAnvilTools and launch the AAWebConfigEditor.exe

Edit the FQDN or Server Name filed with the fully qualified domain name (FQDN). This is recommended to be This must be bound to a 3rd party issued SSL certificate bound in IIS

To verify that the new settings work, log into the AuthAnvil Manager by visiting https://[]/AuthAnvil/Manager with an account that is a Site Admin. You should be able to authenticate properly with your AuthAnvil token.
