On June 30, 2020, we will be migrating our email relay service to Twilio SendGrid in order to improve reliability of outgoing emails. Action may be required on your part.
Are You Affected?
Under Admin > My Company > Outbound Email, if the field 'Use Custom SMTP Settings' is set to 'No', as shown below, then you are using the Kaseya email relay service, and so you are affected by this change. You will need to update the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) DNS record for your domain, and we recommend that you do so by June 26, 2020 in order to allow time for the record to propagate.
SPF determines whether a sender, in this case SendGrid, is permitted to send emails on behalf of a domain. This is implemented in DNS using a TXT record type. You should already have a TXT record; the following details simply need to be added.
For example, your existing TXT record would include the original Kaseya email relay server details, along with other parameters like for Microsoft Office 365 Mail.
v=spf1 ip4:220.127.116.11 include:smtp01.kaseya.net include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
This is what the record would look like with the new SendGrid details:
v=spf1 ip4:18.104.22.168 ip4:22.214.171.124 ip4:126.96.36.199 include:sg.cloud.kaseya.net include:smtp01.kaseya.net include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
