QuickBooks Online: Account Period Has Closed Error 

Problem

Validation Exception was thrown. Details: The accounting period has closed. 

Resolution

This error occurs when a transaction (Invoice) that is trying to sync to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is dated in a period that is closed in QBO. 

  • Open your accounting periods to allow the transaction to sync (in QuickBooks), or 
  • Update the date of the transaction (Invoice) in BMS to a current period and sync.
