There are 2types of hardware tokens; KT-01 is the previous flat model and KT-04 is the newer model.
Note: Each battery must be replaced one at a time with a proper functioning battery, otherwise the charge of the token will be interrupted and the token will be locked.
This hardware token has 2 coin-cell batteries powering them. These batteriescan be replaced by unscrewing the back panel and prying the front and back panel apart from the flat end near the button.
This hardware token has a single coin-cell battery, different fromthe KT-01 token. Unfortunately, removing the single battery will disconnect any current charge to the token, causing it to go into a tamper-resistant state. This will lock the token, requiring our technicians to reprogram it. Either way, if the battery is dead on a KT-04 token you will need to follow our RMA process and submit the token to us for exchange / replacement.
Note:If the display on your token is difficult to read, please review this Articleto test / edit the contrast settings.
