On a an Android device running the Jelly Bean or newer OS (v4.x) the AuthAnvil SoftToken is only displaying the timer bar. One Time Password (OTP) digits do not appear at all.
On versions of v4.x the encrypted app data of the AuthAnvil SoftToken is being wiped or erased. See the instructions for your specific device operating system:
Android v4.1 devices: The Google Play store downloads the apps into an encrypted store of the filesystem. This app location is reported to have issues with apps that store encrypted data, causing the encrypted data to be wiped after approximately 1-2 days, or after rebooting the device.
Android v4.2 - newer devices: This problem is similar to OS v4.1 but it will occur immediately after activation rather than 1-2 days after.
Uninstall the existing SoftToken App and then reset the SoftToken following this guide.
These problems have been resolved with the latest release of the AuthAnvil SoftToken for Android. It includes fixes for Android 4.1 and 4.2, and can be found under "AuthAnvil SoftToken v2" when searching the Google Play store on any device running Android 3.0 or newer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scorpionsoft.AuthAnvilSoftToken.v2.
