A Subscription Key is how AuthAnvil products verify your Customer Portal account for billing purposes.
During installation of the AuthAnvil Password Server and Two Factor Auth (v4.5- newer) server, you will be prompted for your Subscription Information: Email Address and Subscription Key.
The email address you need here will be your primary Customer Portal login, the Administrative Contact. You cannot use the Technical or Billing Contact for this step. To see the Administrative Contact, log in to the Customer Portal with your account, click on the Account page and look under Account Information, then expand the Administrative Contact details.
The Subscription Key can be seen by the Administrative or Technical Contact for an account. Simply log in, click on the Account page and look under Subscription Information.
Note: If you see a warning about a legacy subscription password, that means your account is still using the previous subscription system. In order to install 2FA v4.5 or the Password Vault, you need to generate a Subscription Key. This will expire your previous subscription password so make sure you have access to update the subscription information!
