Reasons you cant log in to Management Console:
Not a local service connection
Symptoms: event in AuthAnvil log shows connection is not from local machine (get event log message text)
Confirmation: Ping DNS name for certificate (e.g. ping login.company.com) and see if it resolves to the internal IPv4 address on an ipconfig
Solution: Create a DNS or hosts file entry to internal IP (192.168) not localhost (127.0.0.1) or external
Symptoms: All other troubleshooting steps fail (so the users password is probably just wrong)
Solution: Reset MAP see this article: Resetting the AuthAnvil Master Admin password https://scorpionsoftwarecorp.zendesk.com/entries/39918507
- Process for sending ResetMAP self-tool for customers. Use this Macro in Zendesk "Reset Master Admin Password and Close"
- CipherKeys issue in ResetMAP for v4 see this article.
- Sketchy characters in password / Management Console (use quotes around password in ResetMAP)
- Debug values (42 as the last parameter for echoing out the encrypted text, which you can compare to the dbo.MasterAdmin table
